Our History

GLOBAL CHRIST MISSION CHURCH

The name Global Christ Mission Church was derived from the idea world at large to be reached by Christ’s gospel and Christ’s Agape love.

Agape Love is a non refunded love which includes but not limited to supporting the orphans, widows, establishing schools in communities, putting up measures of protecting the environment, building churches for those churches lack permanent structures, and feeding the hungry in times of hunger.

HOW GLOBAL CHRIST MISSION CHURCH STARTE:

Global Christ Mission Church (GCMC) was registered as an NGO as a foreign mission of Koreans called Evangelical African Church.

Rev. Caleb representing a Korean Mission supported all churches with the help of Board members who started the operation in the Mission. At that time, the following local Leaders of the mission were:

  1. Rev. Katabuka Solomon
  2. Rev. Gideon Friday
  3. Rev. Kennedy

Being supported by Reverend Caleb working with Evangelical African Church under Korean foreign Mission.

In 2015, the Government of Uganda asked the Mission to start working as a Local organization in order to stop working under a foreign organization.

In 2014 during end of year General Assembly meeting, members decided  to change the name from Evangelical African Church to Global Christ Mission Church (GCMC).
